A82: Re: Getting Started

The best book I have seen on Z80 assembly is Programming the Z80 by Rodney
Zaks, the book includes a lot of examples and a chapter where all
instructions are described. The only problem is that it teaches you general
Z80 assembler and not how to program the TI82. This is the book I used to
learn how to program for the TI8x and I have not seen any book which is
better.

For more TI8x specific stuff I suggest that you try Jimmy Mårdells Online
ZShell School. It teaches you how to program for ZShell (the TI85), which is
a bit different from programming for the TI82 but it is best thing I have
seen on the net.

I also find that looking at the source for other peoples programs is a great
way to learn how to program fore the TI8x, so have a look at some source for
other programs (look at www.ticalc.org or
http://www.gbar.dtu.dk/~c958362/ash/).
