ZTetris v1.1 for SOS Released

ZTetris v1.1 for SOS was released today by Ahmed El-Helw. This version fixes a few minor bugs including the alignment of the next piece when you resume a saved game and a small speed up of the game. There is also a second version of this game included which is meant for turboed TI-83's. That version is slower but also takes up 50 less bytes than the standard version. This is probably the final release of the standard version, but a better version for turboed calculators may come in the future.

Would a turboed 83 be able to display grayscale better?

ZTetris isn't in GrayScale, and I don't have a turboed calc, I like mine like it is :)

Has anyone experienced a problem in ZTetris which causes the pixels to jump around? If so and you do NOT have a turboed calc, please respond.

It is apparent that the graph buffer copy routine is the problem. Joe's fast copy routine obviously doens't like the turboed calc, its too fast. Ti's call _grbufcpy_v seems to stop the flickering [anyone?] but it is a lot slower.. I am not sure it stops the flickering, but some people told me that.. so you guys just bug Joe to finish a newer version of ZGFXL with a better routine so that it works similarly on turboed and non turboed 83's.

The thing is that I DO NOT have a turboed calc but the flickering still occurs.

The problem is the fastCopy routine in ZGFXL doesn't wait long enough for the display on some TI-83s to catch up before writing another pixel. I guess I'll have to fix it by making the routine a little slower... There must be a diffence in the speed of the uP or the display on some calcs.
This is another reason libraries are good, I'll update ZGFXL and every game that uses that routine will magically work!
