The XC-1701 II Level Editor v1.00 was released today by Nathan Haines. This is a graphical level editor for DOS that lets you create or update XC-1701 II external level files. This program can accept TI-85 string variables but it only outputs ASM files. TASM is required to compile ASM files to create TI-85 string variables.

Hehe, the levels were to be edited as ASM files... with the raw binary codes, exactly like the ASM files my program produces. That's how I wrote the stages I did for XC-1701 II. However, you can imagine how exhausting and time-consuming that was, and it got ever harder when enemies over $9 were added.

So, I put together a little graphical editor to speed things up. It's not WYSIWYG so to speak, but it shows you what you're doing and takes away the format and hex code memorizing. :)
