yes, and how is it for doing stuff other than it's prime feature of sharing family pictures? sorry if it is good, but I hear you can't get to dos prompt, it seems to be a WIMP interface (meant as (b)ackronym, see entries in jargon dictionary, http://info.astrian.net/jargon/ and if you don't want to know about those enteries go there anyway) and I think debian linux is probably the best os, andI am setting it up as a home server over summer.

I won't say w***$ in this letter

i heard the dos prompt thing too, but i was just using that yesterday, and its better than the older versions of dos, but i think it was saying that you cant boot in full dos (unless you use the boot disk), but you cant do that in winme either.

as for my wiwp interface, it rocks. you can drag and drop. i have a short cut to another computer on my desktop, and i can drag and drop, and its on the desktop the next second. speaking of networking, netmeeting rocks! i can control the other computer from this one! (this applies to all 32bit windows)

also, i rarly restart it! i use it like everyday and it never crashes, the only program that made it crash was ti's linking program.

I won't say w***$ in this letter
I will say w00t! in this letter

IMHO, Windows 2000 is the best attempt MicroScrotum has made at an operating system. It's stable, efficient, and doesn't have all the teletubbie B.S. that comes with Windows XP. I used to use Windows 2000, then I "upgraded" to Windows XP. If it didn't require formatting my hard drive, I would go back to 2000. I got a copy of SuSE Linux for free. I'm going to try that. I'll let you know how it goes.

I like it better than WinXP... I hate the new Microsoft Word. They make it so hard to do simple things!
ex:
let's see, I think I want to change the size of this line of text.
OK. I have it highlighted.
Now I go to change the size.
Oh NO! It changed my entire document to the settings of the highlighted text!
Now, I must undo it. (took me a while to figure out that that works.)

Win98 really does suck.
Win95 has a few added features, like:
It can shut down (really!)
It uses less RAM (about 5% on my machine, with 64M).
It runs about 3x faster.
It boots faster (15secs on my machine, P166MHz).
Judge for yourself...
(But RISCOS4 is still better than any Win9x).
w00t!
