that's exactly what i thought when i saw this survey.... i picked my calculators because without them i wouldn't have encountered ticalc.org, etc. mom goes without saying, so i skipped that. i have an 89, so i don't even know what zshell is except that it's one of the reasons that ticalc.org cane to exist.

Definitely computers, you can live without them but why would you want to?
besides what good is a calculator without something to program large assembly games on?

You have to love computers before you can love ticalc.org because without computers ticalc.org would not exist so therefore by loving computers you are allowing the ability to love ticalc.org at the same time. DING!

That was a nice run-on sentence....although it's true!

but i picked my claculators because that is what this site is about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and they're one of the only things in school that you can get away with by playing games!

Excluding incorporeal entities, I would have to say my family. As much as I value the use of modern electronics, they are just tools for people, and therefore people are more important.

after i move (probably the 21st of this month), i'm going to run ethernet cable into my room and set up an ancient laptop to run linux and administer my room. no you can't hack into it. i have two 6502s to take the input from the serial-parallel port and decode it for the relay drivers. i have a lot of miscellaneous relays. sometimes i even make logic gates out of them for fun. today my shift key is broken. (joking, because if so i wouldn't be able to make parentheses. i'd use [square brackets] instead because they don't need shifting.)
