Obstacle is the first game to be released by STC Productions. It is a three-stage obstacle course that is actually not as easy as it seems. It is played by pressing the correct directional key enough times within a matter of seconds in order to pass to the next obstacle or level. The keys are:
Between all obstacles, you can wait to hit the next obstacle. Press ENTER to continue. At the end of each level, there is a theta sign. When you reach this, you must hit ENTER as fast as you can or else time will expire.
Let's take a look at the stages.
Stage One
Stage one is about speed and a couple other things. There are three obstacles in this:
Super Hop
This involves running to a ledge, jumping onto a higher platform and running some more. Should you fail, you will end in the water below.
Balance Tilt
This has a little running and then a lot of pressing the BALANCE button on the pole. When you reach the last equal sign, switch to your RUN button.
Wall Climb
A simple climbing up the wall, then run to the theta and quickly hit ENTER.
Stage Two
Here, speed gives way to strength and a fast finger. While stage one may have seemed easy, this one is sure to leave you sore.
Jump Grip
Quickly jump up to the equal signs and press the RUN directional to traverse it as fast as you can. Upon reaching the last equal sign, repeatedly hit the DROP key to land on the mat below.
Single Pole Cross
Again, you must jump up, but this time, use the BALANCE key to stay up. When you reach the end of the largest pole, switch to the JUMP button to reach the other two.
Dropping Ropes
Those I's are actually ropes falling under your weight. Hurry to the last rope, for if you hit the bottom of the screen, you lose. Then hit DOWN to descend the last rope and quickly hit ENTER on the theta sign.
Final Stage - Climb Blitz
Congratulations on making it this far. The final stage has no breaks like the past two and yet there are three screens to this one. By now you know how to climb, run and hit ENTER, so do so. Technically, you have more time to hit a button one more than last stage, but that doesn't make is easier.
