Retreat

2P action

Thank you for downloading Retreat! Retreat is a fun and exciting game for the TI-83.

1) What is Retreat?

When you first play retreat, it may seem a little odd. The reason for this is because I made it so to players can play on the same calculator without getting [too] crowded.

Player one holds the calc up-side-down. Player two holds it right-side-up.

Player 1 uses the arrow keys to move and 2nd to fire, player 2 uses parentheses [(] for left and [)] for right, and uses x^2 to fire.

Once you get used to it, it's very simple and will grow on you.

2) Other Programs

Retreat uses other programs for better performance. These 2 programs are ZINVTEXT and ZNRMTEXT. They can be found at www.ticalc.org and were not written by SpankWare. Also, these programs are written in assembly. If you are against running assembly on your calculator, e-mail me@spankware.cjb.net and I'll release a version without these programs.

3) Health System

Retreat uses a four-hit health system. It starts each player out with 100 health. If a player gets hit by the other, the word HIT! will appear on the screen for a couple of second, then you will resume gameplay. Each hit subtracts 25% or 1/4 of your health. For example, if you got hit twice, your health would be at 50. Once a player gets hit 4 times, s/he's dead.
