Hey kids! You're in luck!! cuz I am a programmer for "booz allen and hamilton"! so i kno evry little trick. all you BASIC programmers searching to make really good 'utilityless' graphic based games are stuck. if you want to be tought ASM, EMAIL me. ASM has the advantage over BASIC in every way! (and no just because i called you kids doesn't mean im an adult im 14)

I'm a BASIC programmer, and I'm seeking the opinion of another BASIC programmer. I am writting a game for the TI-83+ series of calculators. It is an RPG battle engine. (With story and graphics.) It is titled Endure 5. t consists of 100 battles, which you and your opponet both level up in. It includes about 15 enemies + your character's standard Pic + Narrative Pics for each major character. I was thinking about three ways to show the graphics for he game and was wondering which one you other programmers think is appropiate. They go like this:
# 1 Use storepic/loadpic.
I know this method will only allow 10 Pics, but the program would also be compatible with the standard 83.
# 2 Use SSmaker.
This will make multiple ASM based picts, but requires an 83+ to use. They are also slightly larger than standard Pics, making an error MEM forseeable.
# 3 Final Method: Use Omnicalc's sprite command.
This option, particullarly when paired with Option #2 + storepic allows for numerous pictures. The problem: They have to be a multiple of 8 pixels down + over and must be a multipel of 8 pixels in size. additionally, not everyone has Omnicalc installed, which would fan the flames of incompatibitly.
So other programmers out there, what method do you think I should use? Thanx.

I'd like somebody to program Elasto Mania for the TI-83 plus. You can download a demo version of Elasto Mania (ELMA for short) at www.elastomania.com
