I have a brother that is in jail and he has a TI-89. He is trying to program some games on it, in basic form. We are unable to download games to his calculator since it has to be sent to him directly from the company. It would be awesome if anyone could please help and post some basic games that i can print out for him so he can put them in manually. Thank you so much!

The name of my game is Battle Source. You start out as an egg. Pick any egg from the choice box. The egg will show you the evolved forms that it will go through inside the egg. The egg will be a baby dragon that you will have to raise and take care of. The game will give you a certain amount of money. With that money you will have to buy a crib to keep them warm. The game will give you a person to play with your dragon. Once the dragon has hatched you will have to train your dragon to fight, fly and jump. The dragon will learn special abilities and different speeds. You will have different special abilities to choose from. You only get one special ability so choose wisely. There will be different types of breaths for the dragon. They are fire breath, ice breath, wind breath, lazor breath, electric breath, boiling water breath, lava breath, sticky breath, screatch breath, and stinky breath. The dragon can also use its body parts. It can use its razor claws to damage its aponents and its strong legs for fast speed and its wings to fly and its tail to wack its aponents. And can use its head for a very strong head butt. The color choices will be black, red, pink, white, purple, green, yellow, blue, brown, and orange. You also have to buy your dragon different types of food. You can also go to the shop and buy things to add to your dragon. You have to be on a certain level to get certain things like spikes and claws. When the egg hatches it will evolve at any time and you will not know when that will be. To earn money in the game you will have to bet on your dragon in fights, races and obsticle courses.

I think it would be really cool if there was a simple graphic Runescape style game with just 2d graphics and the manority of skilk like attack, defense, mining, smithing etc... I found a text based game but it would be nice of it had more features and something aesthetically pleasing to look at instead of basic text.

Ive always wanted a mobile sort of Runescape similar game with the same skills and attack basis. But i dont know anything about programming and i have a TI-84 plus CSE. I found a text based version but thought it would be rather interesting to atleast have 2d overhead view of a sprite of sorts so that its more interesting than a bunch of letters. Preferable made for the TI-84 plus CSE calc.

This is so unfair. You brainwashed 83 users. There ARE several SimCity clones for the calculators, and I know of one in particular that IS FOR THE Z80. Sim Community 2000 can be found at http://www.ticalc.org/pub/86/asm/games. Almost perfect SimCity 2000 clone.

Jeez, why does everybody always forget the 86 all the time!? It's a z80 too, and just because it's superior to the 83 but not to the 89 does not mean it should be forgotten. There are still MANY regular 86 users (myself included) that do not appreciate you who forget the 86. Long live the superior z80 TI!

Not everyone owns a TI-86. The 3D engine person should make a TI-83 Plus SimCity 200 game. Another problem, all of the SimCity games for the TI-89 are in BASIC, why doesn't anyone make an ASM version. I don't have enough space for a huge program on it.

how do you code 3D engines, and what language are they coded in? the whole concept confuses me o.0 i can understand programming, variables, pretty much everything. and i can use 3D engines once i have them, but i just can't figure out how they work XD

i think it might be like... a variable for each point on the screen. this would store it's Z-axis, so that as Z decreases, size increases, etc. *not sure*

And then afterwards, someone should port it to the TI 92! Seriously. Why does it matter which calc you program for? If your game is good enough, and small enough, most likely someone will port it to all the rest of the TI's. Look at Phoenix, an originally TI 86 game. I have it on my TI 83+.

Jared... another reason why you should learn ASM. Apps are made (At least according to my limited knowledge) much the same as Assembly programs. Then I believe you assemble them using TI's SDK. Anyone, please correct me if I am wrong. :)

Re: Apps

is 32k the biggest possible app? i was really hoping that they were capable of being larger (though it'd require a vast amount of work) as i had plans for an artificial intelligence. you could talk to it when you're bored in math class and it'd learn from you the more you talk XD

i actually have an idea for how to make the intelligence too. get on google and search for "Billy 2.1" (there may be more now, but i've seen this version)

If you want it to be a truly _dedicated_ machine, then you can buy a TI-Keyboard (not kidding...).

how are you suposed to play games that take up like 68k memory? Is there some kind of upgrade that i dont know about or are people just making cool programs that are to big to be played. With 83+ you can use Archive but if you do that you cant play it. And Im talking about games for that 83 anyways because thats what i have. If anyone could make a program that makes your memory bigger (witch i highly dought)please do so.
