I have developed a fast and easily manageable tile scroller in basic for all of you hard-core basic programmers out there. If anyone wants a copy, e-mail me and i will send it to you.

Because I like to help people learn programming and stuff, I have setup a few yahoo groups where people can learn from me/eachother, share files/programs, post messages, etc. - Trust me, I am among the best, so I think it would be very beneficial.
I am very willing to teach people everything I know whenever I have free time (I like to work on a one-to-one basis). Check out my groups if you are at all interested or curious.
Below are the web addresses for my groups (CAREFUL, I had to put a space after each slash, so if you copy and paste, delete the spaces):
http:// groups.yahoo.com/ group/ TICALC101 - deals with ticalcs and stuff
http:// groups.yahoo.com/ group/ PROGRAMMING101 - deals with programming concepts, applications, and graphics in general
http:// groups.yahoo.com/ group/ CppJAVA101 - deals with C++ and Java

I'm a basic programmer and I love the game of euchre and I have tried to make it for my calc. the ti-83+se and I can't do it. It's is very complicated. So if there is a good asm programmer that wants to make it for me I would be very happy.

MODE7
|
Lionel Anton
|
I made a mode7 engine in grayscale for ti 89, it's written in C and it is enough fast for games such a fzero (snes).
I started to develop fzero for ti89 a few weeks ago and it will come soon.
If you are interested to test the engine and make suggestions, e-mail me at anton_lionel@yahoo.fr

Question about "GetCalc(" command
|
Caboose
|
When using GetCalc( to get a variable, string, etc. from another calc, does it get the variable and copy it to your calculator, or does it completely remove it from the other calc and then stick it on your calc?

Animations

Is there a way to make animations for the TI-89 easier than frame-by-frame? I've made a few "movies" using frame-by-frame animation for each sprite but it takes a long time and is kind of choppy. If anyone knows of a program or just a trick that makes it easier I'd like to know.

I think it would be cool if someone would make a Sims like game for 83 Plus.

Someone rrrreeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaallllllllyyyyyy needs to make a high quality Lord of the Rings game, whether it simply be a text game a highly graphical one or one thats simply creative but someone somehow needs to make one. And all you super genius programmers out there i am directly challenging YOU to take on this mammoth of a task. Think of the legend lotr has made, a story so vast it had to be split up into 3 books, a plot so huge it took 3 years to make the movies, and think of the glory you would have as being the one and only creator of a lotr game.the game ud make and your name would be remembered for ages, like the classics(tetris, pacman, pong, pheonix, doom, frogger, and many more) and once again i URGE you to make a game worthy of the title THE LORD OF THE RINGS!

Sequel to my Bomber game.
|
wayne heaney
(Web Page)
|
I've been thinking about making Bomber 2, the sequel to one my older games that I like a lot. Please click the URL above this post and check out the first Bomber, it's a really good two player strategy game, or one player with the AI I made. I've been thinking that Bomber 2 would be very similar to Bomber, but be almost completely graphical, where Bomber was almost completely text. There would be a lot more options, like customizing your players abilities (with restrictions of course), starting anywhere in the arena you want (so the opponent won't know where you start), making the arena a little bigger or maybe letting you choose between a big arena or the traditional, having two bases so you don't have to go ALL the way back to your base to win. I would also like to make a better AI (eventually) so you could play one player and have it be challenging. Lastly, I would like to try to make it a smaller file than the previous version... key word "try", it won't be easy if even possible! Anyways, I'd love to hear opinions on this, so please download Bomber from the URL above, play it for a little, and tell me what you think about what I've said here. I would prefer that you email me about this, but I will check the posts here too. Thanks for your help in advance, I love Bomber, and I think this Bomber 2 would be a great game.

Where's Chips Challenge ASM?
|
aaron barnhart
|
I heard somebody talking about it being made in basic and ASM but I haven't heard anything about it (Screen shots, demos, nothing). Is anybody still making this? I love Chip's Challenge, can't live without it (ok I can). It'd be even sweeter if they included the level editor for the game, too. Don't know what CC is? Go to google.com and type in Chip's Challenge to get the game and try it, it's great for how old it is.

i have been looking for a game (well a program). it is often called "A". it is a program with several games (such as chiken shoot, tetrix, pac man, baseball, and other cool games). when you open this program, a new screen with the games appears. i don't know if you know what i am taking about, but it is something like that. i think you can even ser a passwork for the "memory (MEM)". i had it in freshman year but lost it.
please if you any program like that please e-mail it to me at apolo_david@hotmail.com
and also what is ION and TSE? many games require these
thanks
