Making a TICI 1.0 Modem Adapter

Materials:
(1) Case, 5/8" x 2 1/8" x 1 1/4"
(1) 9 pin D-Sub connector
(1) Male mini-DIN socket
(1) Circuit board, about 2" x 1 1/8"
(2) 4.7v Zener Diodes
(2) 3.3K ohm resistors
(1) 330 ohm resistor
(1) LED
Instructions:
- Connect wires to each of the necessary pins of the mini-DIN socket, pin 1, pin 3, and pin 5.
- Drill a hole in the case if necessary and insert the mini-DIN socket into the case as shown.
- Solder each component to the circuit board and connect.
- Drill another hole if necessary and insert the D-sub connector as shown.
- Connect the wire from pin 1 of the mini-DIN socket to the circuit board.
- Connect the wire from pin 3 of the mini-DIN socket to the circuit board.
- Connect the wire from pin 5 of the mini-DIN socket to the circuit board.
- Connect the necessary wires from the D-sub connector to the circuit board.
- Screw the circuit board into the case.
- Test the adapter before attaching the cover; if it works, secure the cover to the case.
- Print tici_logo_adapter_small.gif and put on case.
