Ticalc.org comes somewhere right after email. It used to be Dimension-TI, until their feedback section didn't work anymore. Now I have to turn to ticalc.org for my calc needs.

Here is another great site to add to your list, it is www.slashdot.org. This is a site for geeks like us. If you play games on a calculator or program for a calculator, you are a geek. I have a Ti-83 and a Ti-89 with a parallel and graphlink cables. I cant believe i only have two calculators, but, ohh well.
My internet list goes like this:
1) log onto netzero
2) check out www.slashdot.org
3) check out www.ticalc.org
4) check out www.hotmail.com
5) check out www.freshmeat.net
6) check out www.kernel.org
7) check out www.userfriendly.org
8) check out www.jars.com
This is just the beginning of my list.

OR you can just add all those other sites as slashboxes on slashdot. You never have to go anywhere else. Just reload slashdot hourly.

It used to be Dim-TI All the way for me.....until their messagse boards didn't work (Calc-heads think alike?). Now, SiCoDe webboard first, Then TICalc, Then Hotmail to read my Many Many Terragen mails. (not 200 though!) But strangely enough, I've actually found two things that made me lose my interest in my calculator (!). Terragen and my Basic Stamp (Ok, so I'm still programming BASIC. . . . .)

I used to visit several times a day, but now, I just visit a few a week.

My list in order is:
Email
Probetalk.com (car site, message boards. Takes plenty long to read all the messages)
ticalc.org (if I have time)

All while talking to friends on AIM.

I dunno, I used to come one or several times a day, then I stopped cold-turkey. I still check this site sometimes. I think it had to do with too much work to get new games for AMS 2.03 when it came out, so I stopped getting games. What can I say, I must be lazy.

I have my email checked automatically every 15 minutes. That gives me more time to surf through ticalc.org.

I'm on a DSL connection, and check e-mail every minute, 24 hours a day. It's the greatest thing...

speaking of which, how would it be possible fo me to add a DSL to my new laptop? I have like now clue as to how that whole operation works (please, forgive, I've been very very busy...)

unfortunately, I have 5 calculators....yay!!! And all of them hold a special place n my heart just like ticalc.org
I liked DImension-TI too, but they crashed, and eventually I got over TCPA withdrawls (those guys are awesome), but now that the new server is up...I might go back...

seeeee-ya later
Steve

Even better: if you've got even a dynamic IP, go over to myip.org and get an account, then set up a subdomain and register it as an authoritative nameserver (NS I think). Set up BIND on your computer, then postfix, sendmail, or whatever other mail agent you want and any other stuff you might need to get an email server on your own computer. Then configure BIND so that the MX request for your domain routes to your email server. This is a piece of chocolate cake with layers of chocolate icing and chocolate straberries on top for anyone with just about any sub-decent Unix. Windows? Go grab a cup of coffee while Linux downloads.

Okay so what this has nothing to do with ticalc.org but what the heck.

Kenneth

Yeah, I realize that. Blame it on Microsoft. After I hit the Post button, I just got a page with ticalc.org on top, that wouldn't update. So I thought that the comment had not been posted, and went back and posted it again. Sorry.

The boards get updated every 5 minutes via a cronjob. Always wait at least 5 minutes before resubmitting :)
