I hope your kidding, but just in case hit e,then ^,then (, then pi symbol, then 2nd i, then ), then enter. This also could be done easier by using the e^ symbol.

Actually, just use the e^x button.. That puts e^( in all at once and saves space to boot!

Doh! the instant I read it I knew the answer was 0, but I chose 0! becuase I mistook the factorial symbol for an exlclamation point. I hope that's the reason other people are choosing 0!. I thought it was a well known fact that e to the pi i was -1!!!

Since I'm sure that most people here just know that you can plug this into your calculator to get the answer (I won't say it, to avoid spoiling the fun for say, one person). But, the proof (and general case) is actually somewhat nifty (see the link.)

Remember: "Gauss is reported to have commented that if this formula [e^(pi*i)+1=0] was not immediately obvious, the reader would never be a first-class mathematician" (Ripped from Mathworld link above)

i checked my calc for this, the answer is 0.

I didn't know the exclamation mark was the math exclamation mark. So i answered "The answer is zero!!!!!".
