It is rather sad that some people download this 10+ times.

Yeah, I hate it when people simply download something when they need it, and then delete it afterwards... It can really mess up stats... Still, VTI is a great program, if only this version and the APP version were combined...

<confused> APP version?...you mean the one that's compatible with Applications? Because both versions of VTI are applications... :/ <\confused>

I hate ti's emulator for two reisons. 1) it crashes all the time. 2) it is part of their IDE so when it crashes so does the IDE.

Yeah, that's the thing I was talking about. But it isn't a complete emulator, is it? I haven't used it enough to know...

What's VIT? Is it better than VTI?

Just because we (yes, "we", I am included) download it a lot, it doesn't mean we do it unnecessarily...We may have a need to download it on MULTIPLE computers...whether at work, school (where I use at least 10 different computers a day), or home...In addition, the school computers automatically delete anything installed on them :(

It is ten times at least on my machine alone. I cannot count the number of times that I have downloaded it on other computers. I cannot even count the number of computers that have it because of me.

Yeah, I was wondering why anyone would download it more than once (or twice if they deleted it by mistake)...

Did I ever tell you about the time I sat at my computer and downloaded vti 314,159 times? That was a long day...

You could just do

for ((i=0;i<314159;++i)); do wget http://www.ticalc.org/pub/win/vti.zip; done

:)

In javascript, I guess it would be:

for ((i = 0;i < 314159; ++i));
{
location.href = "www.ticalc.org/ pub/ win/ vti.zip";
}

You could put it in a webpage and REALLY increase the download stats! If I did something wrong in the code, please excuse my stupidity - I don't use javascript a lot.

I don't think doing that would actually increase the stats though, because it doesn't give it enough time to register that you went there....

Nah, it wouldn't. But either way, for location.href, you need http://, so yeah... it's not going to work no matter how you look at it. ;-)

I can only assume that 500,000 - 314,159 = 185,849 in which case, good teamwork! But I'm fairly certain that doesnt add up. I know, I'll take each of my 314,159 copies of vti and one at a time have them subtract 1 from 500,000 and see what I get... *a while later* ... yeah, i got 185,841. And 100,000pi VTIs can't be wrong...

oops...that's what I get for doing the math in my head...I meant the number you said...I saw the nine, knew it should be a one, then probably saw the one I wrote and got confused and changed it to a nine... :/
