Any feed back would be good, becasue then you know that someone has an opinion on the subject.

I agree. I wish that people would email me about my games, especially for suggestions or game ideas. Though, now that I have the correct address posted, it should happen more often.

But according to the amount of email we have been getting (according to the polls), most people have never formed an opinion in their entire lives.

This poll idea was just another idea I pulled out of my ass one day while I got an e-mail from an individual regarding my ever so famous Physics Solver programs. I know how you all just adore them :-)

This thing about the report was that he was reporting an error, however he was wrong and my program was actually correct, I have gotten a lot of praises in the past about those set of physics programs, thats mainly why I ported them to nearly every TI.

Oh yeah I just happened to be watching the Simpsons episode about the purple monkey dishwasher when I was writing up the poll....go figure!

Well I'll be using them all next year when I take Honors Physics. I'd have a bunch of chem programs written up on my calc (probably just for myself) but our teacher thinks that "graphing calculators are evil" and so I can't use them in class. Hopefully my physics teacher won't feel the same way. :)

The Honors Physics teacher has a felt sheet with pouches holding on the order of 30 calculators. Unfortunately, life isn't pefect: they're Casios. (Which isn't all that bad, as then they wouldn't know about ticalc.org and Apps and customizable programs or any kind of other stuff to put on the calcs.)

Really? My chem teacher thinks its awesome how I'm writing a molar mass caclulator for my calculator. He said it'd save a lot of time. It's pretty slow now, and I haven't gotten around to writing a binary search, so it really isn't that fast....
Anyway, it's strange how some teachers don't care about calculator programs and others are completely against them.

I know. :( My argument is that if you programmed it, then you must understand the concepts enough to make a program out of it (which is harder than just doing a normal problem). And since by creating the program, you show competency in the given area, then you should be allowed to use it, since you already proved that you understood the topic.
Of course, you can't always prove that you wrote the program, but still.

Heh, I told my pre-calculus teacher I was writing a program for finding the missing sides/angles of a triangle given three sides/angles (such as SAS, ASA, etc), and he told me I could use it on tests and such because I wrote it (showing that I understood the math well enough to write a program around it).

I asked him if other students could use it too if I gave it to them. He told me no. Sorry for those others. :-)

This next story has nothing to do with the previous. I just felt like telling it. :-P

For a test in AP chem, I asked my teacher if I could use the large wood slide rule (about three feet long!) on it. She let me, but since it was cumbersome to use on my desk (who knew?), I resorted to using my TI-86. Good trusty TI-86. (Yes, I do know how to use a slide rule. I'm a nerd. Get over it.)

The SSS,AAS,SAS,ASA program sounds handy. It takes forever to solve for an angle or side using the law of cosines. I wrote a program to do that a while back, but my calc has cleared since then.

I'm not trying to self publicize, but if you're looking for a triangle solver, I made a pretty cool one. It prompts for all six variables at once, and you just inpu "X" for whatever you don't know. It then solves it and gives you everything. It's attatched to a program with a lot of other stuff. It's called "Solvers or something" Check it out if you want, or just ridicule me for something. That's good too.

I know how to use a slide rule AND an abacus! Go me!

My precalculus teacher doesn't care if we use calculator programs or not, as long as we show our work. Which defeats the purpose of using calc progs. Evil...

Unless you write it to show its work. I wrote a program to do synthetic division with no degree limit and it shows its work!!

Exactly what I was going to say :) It wouldn't be hard to make a calc program show the work, it woudl just take more code. That's all.

Or you can not write the steps and just say you do everything in your head ;-)

I got a whole lot of praise for my first Age of Darkness Game. And I have reieved 1 email regarding AOD: Revenge. Alot of people just don't seem to care that we want feedback on our programs.
