Okay, high school. But I'm also a DEUG owner. Now would that qualify as Associate's Degree? Hmpf.

I think the next survey should be "Did you lie about your eduction?"

I certainly did, I'm way past elementary school.

I think a better question would be

"WHY would you lie about your education by putting something lower than what you're in?"

My HS offers both, plus Java (but they canceled it). Talk to your principal. If you can find enough people who want it, they might add it. You'd probably need a teacher, though, and that won't be easy. Well, it could be like my class where we pretend we're working and surf the net.

My school giving C++ and Visual Basic (I forgot Java and HTML in the last post) is great and all, but I'm in the band as well, so I wont be able to take any one of them till I'm in 10th grade (when it doesnt conflict with band.) So, I got stuck with making pages with Front Page this year (Informational Processing.)

Thats what I want to do to the bad teacher. He said band wouldnt interfere with any of my other courses. He was probably talking about gym, that it wouldnt interfere with the subject that I hate most. Band interferes with at least every good course in 9th grade. So if you wanna take a good course in 9th, you gotta wait till 10th grade to take it.

Gym shouldn't even be a course, in my opinion. It kept me from getting straight A's this marking period. That kinda ticked me off. What's more, 5% of your grade in gym is skill. There is nothing academic about gym.

Furthermore, we never learned anything over the course of the year. It was just "Okay, do this, do that." Then, three days before the final, they give us this packet of information to study from. We'd NEVER seen this information before, and they're expecting to learn it in THREE DAYS for the final. I thought that was a load of crap, so I just cheated on the final. Oops, I got a 100%! How did that happen? LOL You can't take gym seriously.

Eletest???
'Elitest'. It just shows that paying for private school education is a waste of time. That wasn't the only error in the last post but it was by far the most ironic.
And an elitest school show offer more than just a slim selection of stuff.
All very well not doing any PT but going through life as a couch potato isn't clever or healthy, no matter how good you are at school.

I think being home schooled would be the most beneficial to your education. That way, you could work right on the level of the person in different areas.

Like, I could be in a higher math level and a lower science level (just because I hate it).

At the private school that I went to, I couldn't go ahead in math because the school was so small (about 12 kids per grade on average), and so there weren't enough teachers to spend their time going ahead... that's why mostly everything I learned in math was on my own, not in school. (Thank you, TI)

But, you're right, "eletest privet schools" in some ways (as you said, the tutition(?)), aren't better than the public schools.

When I had Gym in Highschool we spent an entire month learning First Aide and cpr, and we watched some hilarious instructional videos. They even had a couple fake dumies to practice cpr on. And some fake babies. Babies are different you had to hold them face down and push on thier backs if I remember correctly.

In college gym is much different most likely you have to take classes devoted to a sport. If you want to be really lazy you can take a class in walking or bowling. I took jogging and tennis. A friend got to take karate.

Walking sounds easy enough. In our gym class in 9th grade, sometimes, if we didn't want to play a certain sport (American football... blah), then we could walk for the whole period. It was really boring, unless you had somebody to talk to while you did it.

I just hope the gym teachers in the high school will let you walk for the whole one and a half hour period. I know a few people that would rather do that that I could talk to while doing it myself. Well, either they let walking, or we have kickball tournaments all year long. I was one of the best kickers in my 8th grade team.

I am fit. And, somehow, I manage to get a good amount of exercise (soccer season, especially). I just don't like gym class. I'm not good at American Football and Baseball, and they seem to be the major gym class sports, here. Plus, 5% of my grade is skill. So, if my grade was out of 50 points, that means I get a 90%, which keeps me off the distinguished honor roll, and that's precisely what happened, last marking period. I even worked extra-hard in Biology to pull off an A (instead of a 92%... GRR), and then gym got in the way.

I give the finger to gym.

But of course, I don't weight nearly enough to survive that anyway. I'd be crushed. Aren't most nerds underweight? I am... I guess I've correlated the two things in my mind somehow.

Visual Basic is for looosers. Why go to a class for it? You can learn the whole language through one crappy textbook, and the language is close to useless unless you plan on working at Microsoft (it is Bill Gates favorite language).

A friend of mine at school keeps talking about this "Dark Basic" that allows you to make and use 3D graphics without any thinking. I was playing with 3D graphics a little in QB, and after rotating an object for a long time, it always gets distorted. Maybe I should read that 3D tutorial on here again.

Yep Dark Basic can do that. Here's a sample program:
:Make Object Sphere 1,10
:R=1
:Do
:YRotate Object 1,R
:R=R+5
:If R=361 then R=1
:Loop
That Program right there rotates a sphere in empty 3D space forever! And at a minimum of 30 FPS too.

OMG... lol, that's certainly easier than what I was trying to do. My QB code to rotate a cube is about 100 lines long (because I've never tried to use 3D graphics before... and I have a lot of comments), which is pretty sad. That's seven lines.

Oh yeah, and I might have said this before, but my cube keeps on getting "squished" (you'd have to see it to know what I mean). I'm assuming this is because of the number accuracy with the sin/cos stuff. I can see why it would eventually get off... but how can I avoid this? Is it in the 3D tutorial? I like my cube spinning QB program :)

Oh... that could have something to do with it-- every time I rotated the cube, I overwrote the original coordinates... so slowly, it was getting less and less accurate, so it became less and less like a cube. That makes sense.

yep. www.darkbasic.com. if you wanna try the pro version (more and better 3D commands), try www.darkbasicpro.com. Its amazing what you can do with dark basic. People have already hacked into the dll's and made a few commands that allow windows windows (like file select, etc) and new audio modules (that little stall when the music loops is kinda annoying, so someone fixed it) and someone even made a dll that, when coupled with a c++ compiler, will let you program dark basic with C++, or is it C++ with dark basic.
