I voted 3, because I have no other ebook newsletters to compare this one to. Thought I kept my vote neutral, I still think that it is a good newsletter.

Ditto to everything you just said, except I did read a few from the past, but it was a while back, so it's not fresh in my memory.

Yeah... they're having trouble with it and they can't catch Magnus on AIM... but they'll fix it soon enough :)

Hmm... all the people who posted comments on here approved of the newsletter (with votes 3-5). So, I would be interested to read the viewpoints of those who voted 1 and 2. Anyone?

Against Joey? I don't recall him ticking anybody off. I voted three, since it was good, but I couldn't remember too much about the previous ones, so I couldn't really compare it to previous newsletters.

Now if it were me doing the newsletter, then I could understand people voting to spite.

-Would you people like me to explain just why I am W?-

There... I thought if I asked twice on two different places, I might get the answer :) It worked :)

Good job Joey! :) I look forward to next month's issue. One question though. According to TI's web site, the keyboard only works with the 83+/SE in the NoteFolio app (or any other app that specifically supports it). have you tried it with OS 1.15 and found them to be correct, that it won't work on home screen? If it only works in the App, then I wouldn't get one, unless I also get an 89... But I suppose I could try to write a driver. But that still wouldn't convince me to get it. :\

How does having/getting an 89 affect your descision? Just one thing about the 68k calc series. The Keyboard will work any where in the OS (v2.08) and if there are some games that do not turn off certain features/hindrances of the OS, you can play them with the keyboard. Examples are TICT's Minesweaper and Mahjongg.

I only have an 83+ now. I am NOT going to spend $40 on a keyboard that all I can use it for is taking notes in NoteFolio. I seriously doubt that any of my teachers would like a student plopping a keyboard on their desk to take notes... Especially considering how @*%! small our desks are... However, if it works on the home screen, or even better, it hooks the _GetKey, then I'd get it, since there would be more use, such as programming... But then you'd need to be able to get into the menus from it...
It would also be nice if they could put some memory in it, and an On/Off switch.

The on off switch is the only thing the keyboard lacks. There is a 26 or 29 key buffer in the keyboard itself. If you want I can e-mail you the pdf files that come with the keyboard so you can get a better understanding of it. They explain the technical aspects of its function and everything else you need to know about it. BTW about 3/4 of the keys double/triple as shortcuts to access 97% of everything in the OS for the 89, 92/92+, and V200.

Yeah, I saw the technical stuff on TI's website... I might be able to make a driver App for it... That would be cool.
Again, I know it can do a ton of stuff on the 89/92+/V200, but I only have an 83+... If I had one of the aformentioned 68K calculators, then I'd get the keyboard in a heartbeat.

Yeah, the memory thing is a great idea...

And who cares what your teacher thinks? Get it anyway! ;D

Darn... I subscribed right after they stopped sending the newsletters, and I thought I was still subscribed, but evidentally I wasn't so I didn't get it. When will this newsletter appear at ticalc.org > Archives > The ticalc.org Newsletter so I can read it? :)

Hopefully soon... of course, somebody could forward the e-mail to you. (If you really want me to, I can dig it out of my inbox and send it to you... of course, yahoo does strange things with html sometimes)

Hey, your UserID is really close to the one on my old account. :)
