Ummmm, all I can say is, wow! There seems to be mostle HS people here (no surprise there). Probably because mostly HS students want to use their calcs for games, while MS use it for mostly math, and college for mostly classes (with a few exceptions for people who just love their calc games). Well, I was one of those exceptions, I came here when I was in MS for games, and now, 4 years later, I am still downloading games. Heres an idea for a survey: How long have you been coming to ticalc.org?

That's already been done (twice). Might be interesting to do again sometime though. Or maybe every year?

"For how long have you been visiting ticalc.org?":
http://www.ticalc.org/community/ surveys/92.html
"How long have you been visiting ticalc.org for?":
http://www.ticalc.org/community/ surveys/35.html

(Remember to delete the spaces in the url, I needed to post two URLs, and there is only one URL field.)

Yeah, but look at all of the Pi-related surveys, and this one has been asked before also: "How old are you?" http://www.ticalc.org/community/ surveys/39.html (remove space). They should repeat the "How long..." survey again, or maybe every year. Then everyone would ask "Do you remember..." It would be interesting to see who remembers what, and how long people have been coming here.

I dunno...I'm in 8th grade, and with the exception of three 8th graders (me included) who take double-accelerated math at our school, nobody needs a TI-83+ for math, but a lot of people have them anyway...

I think it's just that middle school students just want the games and don't want to become members, or they just trade games within school...

Hey! I'm in Middle School...I guess I'm an exception :)

But you're right - most other kids at my school just go around bugging people to give them Mario or Tetris.

OMG, yeah, I know... here at HS, people do that a lot too. "Hey Phil, can you give me games for my calculator?" "Phil, give me games. Now." "I want some games on my calculator... do you have Mario?" "Can I use your caluclator, Phil?" AAAWWGGGHHH!! And the saddest thing is, they come with a TI-83+ and a link and they pick up my TI-89 and ask the question. That's when I just laugh.

That'll really screw the next generations of ticalc-people when it comes to ticalc-Social Security!

I got my first calc at 13, and I've cycled through 3 of them: my first was an 83+, which broke and TI replaced for free, then I worked half my summer and got an 89. Buying the 89 was a great decision, I use it in at least three different classes other than math- I especially like the programming abilities.

Yeah. Same here, but 92+, not 89.

what the hell is wrong with you people, the question was, "How old are you?". why do you talk about when you started programming?
