TI Jukebox SDK

version 2.0

Thank you for downloading the second version of my program. This one is much improved over the first, and much more favorable to those who can read music. It features a completely graphical interface with easy to use controls. Enjoy!

Getting started

The staff reads in the treble clef,

FE--------------------------
DC--------------------------
BA--------------------------
GF--------------------------
ED--------------------------

The dotted lines in the program are ledger lines (lines that go off the staff) to outline the complete note range of Joe's TI-Jukebox.

All you need to do to get started is pick a note from the toolbox on the right. You may put this note anywhere on your staff as many times as you want.

Left click on the staff to add the selected note. Right clicking is like backspacing in TI Juke SDK II, it will delete the last note of the song, a handy quick fix if you accidentaly enter an undesired note.

Deleting notes

Deleting notes is a fairly simple procedure. Enter "Delete Mode" by checking the corrosponding box. Two blue lines will now highlight any note you hover over with your mouse. Left click to delete...it's that simple!

Inserting notes

"Insert Mode" is for entering notes in the middle of the song, not at the end. Blue lines will appear in the area in front of a note where you want to enter a note. Left click to insert the note.

Sharps and flats

Enter Sharps/Flats Mode. Green lines should appear around the selected note. Left click to make that note sharp. Right click a sharp note to undo that sharp. Right click a natural note to make it flat. Left click a flat note to make it natural again.

Saving and compiling the song

  • First, type the title of your song into the appropriate text box.
  • Then choose your tempo by entering the duration of the whole note. All of the notelengths are calculated from this; if you choose a short length, all notes will be short and the song will have a fast tempo; if you choose a long length, all notes will be long and the song will have a slow tempo. You may have to experiment a bit before you find the right tempo.
  • You may wish to save your song at this time by clicking Save
  • Click the generate z80 button. You may use this for further editing if desired
  • Click the compile button and choose a filename with 8 characters or less.
  • Send the song to your calculator!

Contact the Author / report bugs

There are probably bugs in this program (seeing as how I started this project about two years ago when my coding skills are not near what they are now). If you wish to notify my about it write down specifically how to reproduce it.
