Q' Correlation and Q' Correlation (list)
TrickyTank.com [(C) Rick Tankard

Use:
To determine the Q' Correlation of sets of data.
Q' Correlation (QCORELLA) is used for data sets taken from graphs or pre-analyzed data sets, this is handy for graphical questions.
Q' Correlation (list) (QCORLIST) is used directly from L1 L2
list data. Useful for x, y data sets.
Both programs work independently.
How to use:
QCORRELA
Q' Correlation uses the standard A, B, C, D values for a plotted data set. Where
the middle point is half way through the horizontal data and same for the
vertical data. i.e. with 7 pieces of data the middle is in-between the 3rd and
4th when going upwards and in-between the 3rd and 4th when going left to right.
B | A |
C | D |
input the number of data samples in each quadrant. Do not include those that are on a line. Gives a fractional and a decimal answer which can be used via the ANS key.
QCORLIST
This uses the same concept as the above example, but instead allows you to
enter sets of data so x=L1 y=L2 and automatically
works out the Q' Correlation value.
Gives a fractional and a decimal answer which can be used via the ANS key.
(data can be put into L1 L2 lists by pressing the STAT
key, and 1:Edit...
L1 is the x values while L2 is the y values. Values should
be next to their corresponding values.)
This is the first publicly released version of Q' Correlation/Q' Correlation
(List) for the TI-83,
TI-83 plus, TI-83 plus SE, and TI-84. (NB may work on other calculators as it is
a Basic program)
