I like Action better because they are way smaller. For a good RPG you need at least 13KB and the 83 only has 26kB RAM.

I'm only a freshman, but I own an 83+, 81, 86, 92+ amd some non-TIs. The 92+ definitly beats the crud out of the 83. When I take the SATs I will buy an 89. The 92+'s keyboard makes it the best graphing calc period. It's mathematical functions make it better than the 95(very old calc). It's highres screen and loads of memory make it the best. The only thing that it is missing is a port of the bourne shell(bash would be too big) and an on-calc c compiler. It could use smatmedia expansion, a pcmcia slot, ppp drivers, a standard comm port, and X(a unix gui), but I can't have everything I want. The only good thing about the 83+ is that everyone has one. Asidfe from that they suck. Even the 82 has more ram! It only has 6 lists, split-screen is impossibly small, etc. When will linking software cme out for the 92+?

Same here. Games mess up your calculator and consume valuable time. If you're going to do this, at least do it with Phoenix. =)

Good to know that there are always exceptions :) I use my calculator occasionally for work, but I love programming math (and physics) stuff on it.
