Tried it for a week, but it didn't really work. Using a pen and paer for writing down school assignments is much more useful.

Yeah, I use my SHARP (gasp) OZ-730PC as my PDA. My TI is for games and Math. I always carry both of them around with me at school.

no, i use my (gasp) palm pilot as my PDA, crazy isn't it? It's nice for that, but my TI-89 is for math and games, i don't like palm games, because you have to pay for the good ones...and TI games are free. Long live TND!!!

i have my casiopeia e100. I installed pocket dos on it, and was able to succesfuly get a ti86 emulator working. So if you want to consider that a pda (emu) then yes, but its like a pda in a pda. I use it for games, along with the 1000's of games i already have for it...

I have a PDA, bit it's just not as reliable as my TI. I have an HP PDA< but it's too big, and just erases my information whenever it feels like it. My TI is much more reliable, and tells me way ahead of time when to replace my batteries.

If anybody that uses their calc as a PDA that's me!!
If you want to have a PDA on your calc you can use my Tinux Organizer which is 5% ASM and 95% Basic.
You can get it through File Archieve for TI-83 Basic Misc. section.
(I can't afford a PDA!!!)

Being a "nerd" has changed since the eighties. I consider myself a nerd (my life revolves around hacking/programming) yet I'm still "with it I'm hype" (Dr. Evil quote). The point is people like me can get girls yet still not have a life.

aight, here's how it works. the "preps" or "jocks" say that people who, say, spend more time than would seem healthy at their computer or calculator are "gay". But, then, that in real terminology means "nerd", and then you dont care. the fact that i read a message board ABOUT calculators and REPLY to them also suggests this, but i dont care, because in 20 years i can go to McDonalds(yes, it will still be there *shudder*) and laugh in the face of the jock who made fun of me, after which he will secretly spit on my hamburger. As that one very, very scary dude from "schoolhouse rock", "it's hip to be square!".*shudder shudder*

And the moral of the story is...girls are no substitute for a good game of TND. And what does a girl ask for? everything! all your time and devotion. and what does a calculator ask for? only new batteries every few months. this goes back to my favorite t-shirt... "girls are no substitution for a playstation"

definition of nerd
Paul McCord Account Info
(Web Page)

I am one hundred percent (100%) nerd. A nerd can be defined as one who studies excessively and tends to be socially inept. I certainly study excessively (though not necessarily for the things they want me to), but I am not socially inept. However, I have noted a sharp decrease in my number of friends in the last year, and a sharp increase of social clashes of various types, so based on that, one could say that, well, maybe I am socially inept.

This is not the side of the definition of nerd that I am looking at though. No, what really defines me as a nerd is this: "someone who knows what's really important and interesting and doesn't care to be distracted by trivial chatter and silly status games." Oh your god - I have just fallen in love with the American Heritage Dictionary! To make things better, the next sentence states, "Compare the two senses of computer geek." *&#@*(&$( HAH! That is me! That is exactly me!

Dang, life is unfair.
There is only one girl like me in the entire school, and I've already went out with her for about a year, so I'm out of potential girlfriends.

Ok, perhaps I should rephrase that:
There is only one girl in my school that has similar interests and a similar attitude towards life as me.
We are different in some ways, in that she feels physically attracted to males and I feel physically attracted to females.
Ugh, either you take things too literally or you have a sick mind, Omicron.

there is a big difference between a nerd and a geek!

the difference is that a nerd actually knows what he is doing and a geek only thinks he does.

Personally, i would rather be labeled as a nerd than a geek
