Oh yes, first one to reply and vote this time.
Few days before the ticalc.org announces the free gift, i have already registered for my TI83 plus Silver Edition.
The free SAT study cards are nice (I can now study them on buses), but the math tutor doesnt seem useful.
I think TI should ask us the calcID to register for the free gifts, cause anyone could register by entering false information.

Will. Ti now accepts all registrations(no calc id is required), I was just saying they should require a calc id to obtain the gifts.

Nah, they'll just offer freebies then require you to pay for extras.
Why isn't ticalc.org listed as an affiliate on there site? calcgames.org is

Because someone would sue them the next time a program off here doesn't work.

Then why do you think TI pretends ticalc.org doesn't exist? I think that it would be good for them if they made use of all the games here in their advertising.

Call me crazy, but I would think that they would be more interested in the educational part of the site...

"EDUCATION.ti.com"

They have user-submitted games at education.ti.com as well.

We were having a discussion about this in #TCPA a while back. What I got out the conversation was this: Ticalc.org made a CD of all their archives a while back, and education.ti.com advertised the CD. Well, aparently one of the basic games had a "secret" porn screen on it, hence that 'archive review' some years ago. One of the parents got wind of this, got mad at TI for advertising it, and TI has ever since hated ticalc.org; or at least not acknowledge it's existance :-)

Back around 2000 there was a nude photo of Cindy Crawford for the TI-85 in grayscale... Although it was an ASM program, not BASIC...

Actually, I believe that file did make its way over here (this was a long time ago), unless I'm thinking of a different one. I know this because the program had a screenshot. :\

Ankey, you'd be surprised how many people ask me daily if it's possible to put porn on calculators. No, I don't do it for them. That's... pathetic. lol

How? If a program here crashes and clears RAM and TI links to the program, however indirectly, somebody would sue TI for misleading them about the capabilities of a program, even though they had nothing to do with it.

Remember, a lawsuit doesn't have to have merit to be filed.

calcgames.org is a ripoff of Ticalc.org. All their doing is downloading games from ticalc and posting it on their site. They broke a one of the commandments:

Thou shall not post ticalc files on any site without proper credit to ticalc and the author
