Wow, this poll must have been put up now.

For me, I don't think I'll be submitting anything, mainly because the thought never really crossed my mind, and I don't know what I'd submit :)

If I find anything worth submitting, I'll submit it. I doubt that'll happen though.

I hadn't really thought about it either. I just read the Sept./Oct. newsletter today, and then this poll came up about 5 hrs later. I saw that they wanted people to submit articles, and I think I might, but only if I think of something good to submit...BTW, I voted "maybe"...

That is to say, I voted "Maybe, I **HAVNE'T** decided yet". I havne't submitted an article yet, but I think I might. Well, I havne't got any time left, so I gotta go. If I havne't spent all my time on homework by the end of today, I'll be back. Get the hint yet? If not, then I suggest you learn to spell... ;)

It's a thing me and some of my friends started through AIM. We were talking about Siamese twins because I put up an away message about them (I can't post it here for fear of being banned...). Anyway, it is supposed to be siamese twin smileys, but sometimes we use them as parentheses.

Well, 8! IS very different than 8\! or 8//!. On a message board about calculators, you'd expect most things to be somewhat math-related, so naturally, the "bang" symbol is going to denote a factorial in the cases where it appears directly after a number.

I don't think anybody's going to say that "I voted 'no' on the poll!" is equal to

"I voted 'no' on the poll(poll-1)(poll-2)(...)(1)" (though that would be funny ;-))

...So there's not really any reason to complain about it. :P Besides, if a number is the last "word" in your sentence, aren't you supposed to write out the whole number, anyway? (To be grammatically correct) If so, then that gives everybody even more reason to say 8!=40320.

Whatever, I'm just rambling...

There is an irony here.
I never read the first post (just a little lazy)
I wasn't too sure what was counted (thread length etc?)

After reading the new post though the question still stands. - I never realised there was a newsletter, and I am far far far from being a newbie

To be grammatically correct with written word all numbers should be written unless they are long (1234 should not be written one thousand two hundred and thirty four, the numbers hsould be used).
It seems to be personal choice for numbers between 100 & 1000. Obviously 1000, 1000000 etc should be written as words not numbers 'cos they are simple.

Oh well just my two pence (cents, what ever)

But not only THAT, once he's done taking the factorial of SEE, he'll have to take the factorial of the factorial of the factorial of the factorial of the factorial of the factorial of that value. So:

if (SEE==0||SEE==1||SEE==2){
//Then that's understandabe...
}else{
//ERROR:OVERFLOW //!!!!!!!!!!!!! (nested comments... interesting :D)
}
