I have noticed that the "New Files" have not been changed since Feb 22. Three days without new files..... I'm suffering from withdrawal symptoms :(

You really have to read the names of the people that write these comments. As said a million times to people that just don't quite grasp things, "HE WAS CORRECTING HIMSELF (or herself, but I'm not even sure if any girls visit this site)." So anyway, try to be a little more observant.

Do any girls visit this website? Good question. It should be the next poll.

Factual information shouldn't be a poll...unless it's about personal experiences. But yes, there are girls that come to this site, however they are very rare and usually will not post or vote in polls...sometimes I have seen girls that come here but don't register. They just come for the games that the guys have worked SO hard to make. ;)

LOL Yeah- all of the girls that I know that go to this site (only one or two) don't have usernames. They just download programs. It's amazing that they know how to do that because most couldn't care less about nerdy stuff like calculators...

Oh- and in reply to the e-mail, yes, I saw the MemPi review :) Glad somebody liked it. That reminds me, in class, the student teacher asked us what pi was. I did everything I could to resist reciting as many digits as I could. It's very tempting to show that off in school :) The only problem is, if you do it once, people will either tell you to shut up, or ask you to do it over and over and over... and eventually they'll start checking you (so you can't mess up, either).

I'm amazed that hardly many Australians go to this site, and I think it's fair to say that 50% of students in high school have a TI Graphics Calc.

hmmmm... I'm Australian, and at my school (Brisbane SHS) there are 2 TI89s, 1 TI86, about 50 TI83+'s, about 5 TI83s, about 30 TI82's, about 300 Casio graphic fx(something)s, and about 1800 Casio fx82TLs.

Thus, I account for 50% of the TI89 owners at my school. I wonder how many of you can make that claim...

I also account for the 100% of the ASM programmers.

Crappios are going to take over the southern hemisphere... nooooooooooooooooooooooooo

If I were to get any TI calc other than an 80, 82, 83, 83+ then I'd have 100% of that type. But no, I don't. =P

When I transferred from one school to the other, nobody even knew what a TI was!!! I had to start what we're now calling "BASIC Revolution" in my current school! I was the only one programming in there and everyone was astonished that you could do that!
So I basically represented 100% of all TI's and 100% everything TI related!!! lol
Now we have a few kids that are learning Basic (finally) and this one friend of mine who i'm teaching ASM to.
Still, all the kids that know BASIC know how to use Disp, Output, For's, and Menus! That's it!!! But still, we went from 1 TI to about 50 in a semester.

I know some girls that are into calculator games (although they get all the games from me - they ask for a game, I put it on my calculator, use a link cord to put it on their calculator, delete it from my calculator)

I never thought about that. Although, it would work as a poll but just for curiosity. Hopfully everyone would be truthful. (Yes, believe it or not there are some people at my school who would do somthing like that to be stupid)

Poll: What is your gender?
a) Male
b) Female
c) Calculator

That would be an interesting poll, and you could add other choices, but im not sure if they are neccesarily appropriate so i wont state them here.

Has anyone else got this on their TI89 - I forgot how to reproduce it :(

Yeah I get that all the time...I think it would happen for something like this (I'm too lazy to check): d(y=x^2,x) where d is the derivative. I think this returns 0=2x or something like that...thus x always equals 0 :) problem solved

We were doing integrals with limits at infinity in calculus and we did one on an 89 to check it. When we looked for an exact value it returned infinity. But when we told it to approximate it spent 5 minutes busy and then the status bar said "Questionable Accuracy" and it gave the answer: 34. It was looking for infinity but it only got to 34!
