General Information

The game runs a lot faster than the screenshot!

This game has a simple 'plot'- you have to traverse the course in the quickest time. All you can do is jump as the obstacles present themselves- jump over rough terrain, railings and crates, fly down hills and up ramps.

This game is loosely based on a game by Nicolas Culberson. In his game you did tricks for points- I just wanted the simple game you have here. It is almost identical- the menu at the beginning is similar, and the levels have been directly copied from his game.

Sorry about the poor state of the screenshot- the game runs much smoother on the calculator. The screenshot will periodically jam then continue- not my fault! The screenshot program is a little processor hungry for my PC!

Installation Instructions
First, decide whether you want the MirageOS version or the Non-Shell version. Send Skate-MirageOS.8xp if you want the MirageOS version, and Skate-No-Shell.8xp if you want the shell-less version. To run the program, select it in MirageOS and run it the usual way- if you have the non-shell version, you need to put the program in RAM, then run it with 'Asm(SKATE)' at the home-screen.

Game Structure
The idea of this game is simple- jump over the obstacles in order to finish the game as quickly as possible!

Playing the Game
This is really easy. Start up the game and select 'Go Play' to play the game (Move up and down the menu with the up and down keys, pressing '2nd' to select options). To jump, press '2nd' or 'Up'. You can make a jump go higher by crouching before you jump- press 'Alpha' or 'Down' to crouch. You cannot control your motion in any other way- so quick fingers are required! If you crash, press '2nd' to try again. Other features in the menu are 'Reset Best Time'- the best time is set to 999, 'Credits'- watch the credits scroll (2nd to quit) and 'Exit' (work this one out for yourself). If you press 'Clear' within a game, you go back to the menu screen, and pressing 'Clear' at the menu screen Exits.
