BBC Micro Introduction

Aim of the Game

...as if the above panels didn't explain it well enough. This game is quite simple - but don't confuse that with easy! What has happened is that the evil programmer Mad Marco has blown up a bridge and that people are being forced to jump off it. Is there any hope? Well, yes there is in the form of your lifeboat, for you are Lifeboat Lennie. You do this by bouncing the poor people over the water. Watch out though... for the activity lures in a hungry shark that tries to eat you if you stay still to soon and Marco throws bombs at you, trying to blow you up!

Installation

Simple, really. Just send the .8xp file from the folder to your calculator, sending the one with (MirageOS) at the end if you use MirageOS or the (Ion) version if you have Ion installed.

Playing

Start the game. From the main page, you can see the high score- the number in brackets after it is the previous score. At this screen, pressing [Clear] will quit: any other key will start the game. In the game, you can use the keys [Y=], [Zoom] and [Graph] to position the lifeboat. [Clear], as usual, quits. Note that when you get a "Game Over" notice, you press [2nd] to quit. Just try and bounce the people from the left to the right to win points.... if you drown 30 people, the game ends. After saving 10 people, the shark appears - stay too long in one place and he eats you! After 20 points Marco will start dropping bombs... catch one and you die! Send this game to all your friends, and see who can get the highest score!
