hehe, first post :)
Seriously, how could ticalc.org start with micro payments when the authors of the programs don't get anything of the profit if the authors decided to get a percentage of the profit.
I'll just shut up for now, it's too early in the morning for me :)

The second post, cool. I was not fooled. If they would be too desperate for money, they would put advertisements on the site before getting money from the members.

heh... April Fools jokes aren't beleiveable anymore. However, calc.org had an "obvious fake", and it was true. That's what make a truely good joke. :)

I said Nick B was the fool, i hope i don't get a mail bomb. Except, i don't even think that my vote went through because we i tried to vote, it said i already had. That was annoying.

If they didn't want you to put "Nick B is the fool", then they wouldn't make it an option. Besides, I doubt they track what you vote. I think it's just, that you voted.

You know what's really funny is my friend came to me at school and told me he saw that they were charging at Ti-Calc. Of course, I didn't believe him, though...

true is true

i think i'm the only ticalc.org member in my school, although not the only one interested in programming.
all the other people don't seem to want to get a graphlink or any other linking device besides a calc to calc link.

Same here. Most people at my school don't know that ticalc.org exists. If they go to a calculator site, it's calc.org (because it also has HP calcs...)

At my school there are only a handful of people (out of over 4,000) that even know what they are doing around computers, let alone know about TI Calc...

Of course I didn't believe it either although a couple of my friends did (D. Moore & D. Salazar)

Shame on Nick B (even though he did do a pretty good job...)

As a ticalc.org supporter I have already told many of my friends, who have graphing calculators, about ticalc.org and thus many of them use this site. It's perfectly normal for few friends to converse about this website, after all how many websites do it like ticalc.org?

I sorta am. I have a friend who can program BASIC (but not asm :) pretty well (I taught him), but he doesn't bring his calculator to school anymore because he thought it was messing him up in school (he thought he wasn't paying attention). It doesn't work, though, because he just plays/programs on my calculator.
