Since you have accounts for both Alex and "Laura," do you vote twice on every survey?

Hey... You know what, you're right! Isn't that a violation of ticalc account rules?

*cough* ban *cough*

The site policy page says:

"We provide our visitors the capability to sign up for 'accounts' on our site as a convenience to our users. As such, we request that users hold only ONE account with our system. Users found to have multiple accounts [e.g., Alex/Laura] WILL LOSE ALL ACCOUNT PRIVILEDGES [emphasis mine]. We also reserve the right to terminate or restrict accounts at our discretion."

I hope ticalc.org enforces its policies. Now that I now who "Laura" really is, I no longer want to see "her" posts here.

Alex e-mailed me the other day, and one of the things he mentioned was that he changed his email to his hotmail account, so it was randomized and sent off to alexanderthelionhearted@hotmail.com, which subsequently was deactivated because he hadn't used it in 60 days. So he told me that account is toast, and he also said he won't post as "Laura" for a long, long time. I hope this clears up some of the confusion. If you have any questions for me about this, don't hesitate to e-mail me.

Yes, you did miss something.

* Laura Thompson is not really a girl. "She" is really Alex Franklin, aka AlexanderTheLionhearted.
* Last week, Alex told everyone that Laura had died. A few days later, he admitted that this was a hoax.

For more information, click the link above. (It's the message board for survey #37.)

If ticalc.org's search engine is so nice, why have I never heard of it?

Because it isn't so nice. It's slow and the results are never what I'm looking for. It's like using HotBot.

You can search for "the exact phrase" by using "quotation marks" around the phrase on any search engine.

This what came into my mind when I saw this survey:
"There's a search engine?"
Then I take a look at the top, where the links are and one of them says "Search".

That's true...and also...I noticed the one "I don't use the search engine" poll doesn't add up. Anyone else notice it?
